My teapot is finished. Well.... sort of. I finished the teapot but decided to add Martha's inside motif. I am using the Navy Blue Lizbeth Sz 20 from my latest stash enhancement, along with 2 of the new shuttles. I wanted to try the Sunlit and New Clover large. I am definitely a post shuttle kind of gal, so I am loving the size and feel of the new Clover. I think I have found my newest favorite shuttle. Though I think the Sunlits will come in handy with the size 80 thread and with Celtic patterns.
I am half way through with the inside motif so I should be able to post a truly complete project soon.
Thanks for stopping by,
Gwen
Your teapot is looking fabulous!!! :) I am thinking about tatting this and putting it on a tablecloth for my mother-in-law and her fiance. :)
ReplyDeleteI do like that teapot. So cute, and of course you needed a middle for it!
ReplyDeleteI also like those larger Clover shuttles and prefer post shuttles, but man. If I stick to post shuttles, I am buying them constantly. I admit I use the bobbin type largely because if my ADD kicks in and I switch projects, I can pop the bobbin and out and still use the shuttle. Also because I don't have tons of leftover thread sitting there on the shuttle after a project is complete. Just buy a new pack of bobbins here and there, and I'm good.
But I much prefer the feel and performance of the post bobbins. :( How to get the best of both worlds, I am not sure.
Grace I would love to be more comfortable with bobbin shuttles for just that reason. If only we could predict how many yards we would need for a pattern. That would great. I guess the universe is encouraging us to finish more than we start. ;-)
Delete@God's Kid Sue the teapot is a fun and quick tat. I am sure she will love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the encouragement!!! :)
